Interior Painting
We prefer to use water based low odour paint which we source through our supplier agreements at a significantly lower price for you. These are fully breathable paints and used in a variety of various finishes covering the more durable needs to walkways and stairs to specially formulated paints suitable to resist water for bathrooms, and cleanable for kitchens. We can advise on the best paint to use for all your situations. All areas to be painted are fully masked and floor areas are covered with boarding or protective film.
Exterior Painting
Painting the outside of a property can make a huge difference to the look and feel but without correct knowledge of paints can prove complicated. We have huge experience of painting onto lime render which needs to be a paint type that breathes allowing the free movement of moisture, and mostly requires a primer coat. Cement render or pebbledash requires paint which needs to be durable. Our team can help source the correct paint for all your requirements.
Exterior woodwork
All properties have a significant amount of external wood work exposed to the elements that need regular attention. Our knowledge of paint and varieties help us prepare the external wood for the extremes of summer sun and winter rain and frost. We provide all exterior wood finishes required including painting previously varnished surfaces with paint colour.
Interior wall & ceiling repair
All interior decorating and especially the painting of walls and ceilings is only as good as the preparation work carried out beforehand All cracks in the walls and ceiling are raked out and filled with top quality plaster filler and sanded down using dustless sanding equipment to ensure a smooth perfect finish. Which can include coving, architraves and light roses
Wallpapering
We have a vast amount of experience in hanging all types of wallpapers in the most awkward of areas including small toilet rooms to large expansive hallway and stair wells, using the latest tools and technologies. We either rub down and size the walls first to ensure a perfectly smooth surface or we will line the walls with liner paper.
Sash window painting & repair work
All external facing windows need to be fully protected against the elements, non more so than sash. We can help restore the beading and frames, repairing all the rotten parts and sanding all the most awkward and intricate elements of the window. We have a great deal of experience in in sash as well as casement painting and repair work. We use highly durable two part wood fillers for all repairs which will outlast the wood in the windows.
Heritage property decorating
If your property is old listed or stately we can help with our skills to maintain its history and style. We can help repair and paint covings and cornices as well as wall moulding and intricate ceiling details. Our knowledge allows us to fully appreciate the specialist requirements for properties of period and historic value.
UPVC window painting
Most clients are still unaware that UPVC windows can be painted any colour. We have experience in hand painting and spraying external windows giving them a second lease of life. All white upvc external windows tend to colour degrade over time making the appearance look drab and old. Painting them will not only make the property look more modern but can also add significant value to it as well.
Kitchen unit painting
Handmade expensive kitchens are common these days and can last a lifetime, but the colours used tend to age with time. We can help by carefully taking apart elements for painting and revitalising with a new colour to match newly painted kitchen areas.
